Multi-Tiered Approach to School Safety
The course will provide an overview of the fundamentals of a tiered approach to school safety, which focuses on providing a range of interventions tailored to meet the varying needs of students, from universal supports to intensive interventions. It will also explore how data—such as student behavior, attendance and academic performance—can guide decisions regarding the level of support needed for individual students. Participants will engage in data-based decision making, learn how to interpret and utilize data to identify at-risk students, develop tiered interventions, measure the effectiveness of interventions and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently.
