Overview

This course explores the 5-Phase Model for Mathematical Argument and Reasoning, equipping educators with the knowledge and skills to foster deep mathematical thinking in their students. Participants will define and articulate the importance of mathematical reasoning and argumentation within the broader mathematics curriculum. Through an in-depth walkthrough of each phase, educators will engage in structured opportunities to apply and reflect on these concepts, enhancing their instructional practice and supporting students in developing rigorous mathematical habits of mind.
