Identifying Community Assets that Support and Uplift Refugee Students & Families
In this PowerUp, educators learn the what, why and how of community asset mapping as a supportive practice for working with students and families of refugee backgrounds. Throughout this module, educators also explore their district’s neighborhood/region to identify community assets and create their own community assets map that supports refugee students and families.
A PowerUp is a concise, just-in-time learning module designed to address a specific topic or practical skill, typically lasting between 1-2 hours, and is offered individually or in bundles to support professional educators with immediate, actionable content.
