Cultivating Teacher & Student Well Being in Refugee-Serving Schools PowerUp
In this PowerUp learners explore different SEL strategies and teaching practices that support social, emotional, and cognitive skills development and foster well-being and belonging for students of refugee* backgrounds. Learners compare the strategies and practices presented in this module to those being used in their own contexts in order to refine how SEL is used to create more enriching learning experiences for refugee students in their classroom/building.
*The term refugee, for the purposes of this course, refers to anyone forcibly displaced from their home country who has migrated to and/or been resettled in a new country.
