Civic Reasoning & Readiness
Overview
The Civic Reasoning and Readiness Competency 1) explores the knowledge, attitudes, skills, and actions (KASAs) young people need to be engaged civic actors within their communities and 2) provides guidance on the 10 Proven Practices of civic education for educators and schools to design high-quality civic learning opportunities for students.

Learning outcomes
- Understand how the fostering of civic KASAs develops youth to be civic changemakers.
- Assess to what extent their classroom/school implements the 10PPs of civic education.
- Examine how opportunities for youth to engage with the 10PPS can support the development of civic KASAs.
- Design a project aligned with 2-3 of the 10PPS, along with an outline of KASAs supported through this project
