Building Systems of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Refugee Education
This course is a facilitated, asynchronous course for educators who work with students of refugee backgrounds. For the purposes of this course, the term refugee refers to anyone who has been forcibly displaced from their home country and has migrated to and/or been resettled in a new country. This course deepens educators’ understanding of the role that mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) plays in helping refugee students thrive in their school environment. MHPSS includes social and emotional learning, trauma-informed practices, and wraparound services such as counseling and transportation.
